Welcome to the blog dedicated to our "Mental Health Awareness Day @ ULV." This event will take place on Monday, October 4 2010 on our campus.
We are going to use this blog to comment on the preparation for the event; however, we are going to use this blog also to post comments after the event.
We are asking that you sign up with your First Name and Last Name, so that we can recognize who you are, and also to make sure you get the extra-credit you were promised by your instructors.
I would like to start by thanking all the students in my Writing classes for their enthusiasm in regard to this event. Their ideas played a big role in the organization of this event. I expect to read several postings from them.
Now, let's get the conversation started!

ReplyDeleteThe talk given by Steve Lopez was very entertaining, hearing the story from an eye witness and learning more than what the book had to tell was great! I do wish he had had time to do more than just a retelling of their story since we didn’t hear much new information. It was interesting to learn about Mr. Ayer’s album, it shows how far he has come down the road of recovery. Unfortunately with most of the questions Mr. Lopez repeated himself over and over again, he didn’t really answer the questions directly. On a side note, the desserts were amazing! I took an apple crisp home and warmed it up….yummm!
